City Mission Boosts Operations with $50,000 Donation from CNX Foundation

Washington County’s rehabilitative homeless shelter prepared to tackle 2023 goals with CNX Foundation contribution

CNX Foundation recently presented City Mission, Washington County’s rehabilitative homeless shelter, with a $50,000 grant to support shelter operations.

City Mission provides essential food and housing support to vulnerable populations across the county.

“The goal is to help [our distinct homeless populations] move to individual sustained living,” said Sally Mounts, City Mission Chief Development Officer. “Our happiest day is when some of our residents graduate from our program [...] and they have a key to their own apartment, a job and a kind of life that most people who are homeless can only dream of.”

In addition to the check presentation, volunteers from CNX Impact, our season of giving initiative, decorated City Mission in time for Christmas. Learn more about volunteering with City Mission here: https://www.citymission.org/ways-to-help/overview
